Don’t suffer from Windows errors anymore.
If you encounter an error while reading system configuration data on your PC, we hope this blog post will help you.
The error message is caused by the BIOS. “System configuration
Data” is often information about the computer’s hardware that can be cached
CMOS provides information about hard drives, etc.
- Try resetting the BIOS to default settings by pressing the F2 key while the computer is running. If that doesn’t work, it’s likely that the operating system has stopped working. This is in case you need to reinstall Windows.
- This can usually be caused by a dislike of, or modification to, hardware and software. Solve a common problem:
1. Paste the Windows installation and restart your computer
2. Select your region and click “Next”,
3. Repair your home computer.
- Today, the most common cause of CMOS failure is battery drain, not the battery
The main power of the laptop is from electric batteries, but a very small battery to the motherboard
This keeps the internal CMOS memory intact when the laptop is turned off. It
fairly easy to balance on larger computers (you buy one
battery replacement inany hardware store) but it can be any amount
it’s more difficult/burdensome to change it with a laptop.

I have a great HP Pavilion laptop and every time everything boots up the system config data is updated
Error reading system config data
F1 to resume or F10 to access configuration
and when it tries to launch experimental windows it just fills the screen and freezes.
I’ve reset the defaults in preferences and also tried reinstalling new okon backup, but they also hang before starting Windows.
I don’t know what to do, maybe it’s the cmos battery?

Response to HELP Error reading system configuration data
Update your bios…it worked for me. Here’s what I did. My friend has an M-1625 gateway, AMD 2GB RAM with Vista. I have sealed RAM, wireless, anything that can be effectively sealed. Allergen free. More bugs. At some point I installed XP. The trick is to remove the hard drive. After the first reboot, press F1 to continue, then insert the hard drive. Once you’ve installed XP, update each of our bios.
Hope this helps. If there is no update, you can downgrade, then update the bios and even reinstall. I hope someone will

In response to an alternate fix for an error reading system configuration data
Your BIOS may be corrupted, I suggest you take it to a computer engineer, but if you want to fix it yourself, I’ll go beyond using the Ultimate Boot CD (i.e. it’s free and really useful)< /p>
Download the BIOS from this manufacturer’s website first
2. Extract it to an expensive disk (remember that dos does not recognize files with names greater than 8#, you need to rename it correctly, the list you need will be almost any .exe file< /p>3. Change your BIOS settings to use a bootable CD (unless the BIOS is severely corrupted)Download this fixer software and fix your PC today.
