    • Every server I try to join throws 1 with 2 errors that are either out of date so I understand pre 1.0 webserver. Or I get “The server responded with an invalid server key”. It may not have been fixed with the Force update. So if anyone else found a solution to this problem, they would no doubt be greatly appreciated.

Not in my case. My borrower and server are up to date, but since I whitelisted my family periodically “answered with the wrong site key”. However, this only happens sometimes and usually when I run it I just have to restart my end user and it works again.

  • This means most of the server is out of date, or if it’s still your own server that can’t connect, try checking in the address bar to set it to “localhost” or some real one to connect to the server’s IP address .

Or if you want every server you create connected, either you haven’t updated the server or you don’t have the latest Minecraft client/launcher.

    I hope this helped.

I have a new problem with my own device. I tried “localhost” but all that bailed me out, is:

“Failed to connect to the server

    Connection refused: please login”

    Unpublish in current versionretreat

“A closed mouth without a leg.”

  • I have a big problem with my own server. I tried “localhost” but all that helped me out was:

“Unable to connect to my server

    Connection refused: connect”

Have you ever tried to connect to the default texture pack? I am getting this error when using the new 32×32 package called Haya TyDoku. Perhaps the package is outdated and for some strange reason is very expensive.

…remove this, now it works for me.. wtf, i have no idea

  • Yes, this seems to be a random error that II often get when I try to access any server, whether it is connected today or not. I hope this annoying bug gets fixed soon.

  • If someone is running a server on your particular machine, it looks like someone might be able to fix it by getting the server specific .jar file instead of the one inside the server .exe.

    Go to download minecraft.net:

    Download https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/launcher/minecraft_server.Jar?

After renaming the file from .nothing to .jar (or changing har to zip below).

Start the server as specified in this element on the web download page: java -Xmx1024M -jar -xms1024m minecraft_server.jar nogui

You may need to put the .package in a separate folder along with the ad .bat to run all the java commands. You can put the .jar (and your .bat) in the folder where your .exe currently resides and you’ll have most of your settings/world ready.

Fixed here. .exe gave “key error” at 8 10 fromconnections. The .bottle worked consistently over 20 connections without a single crash.

    worked great, thanks!

Oh, and just in a situation where someone doesn’t know how to provide a batch file –

Simply create any text document in the same directory as the server.jar file and other files on the remote machine

And in the text log type

    “java -Xms1024M -xmx1024m -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui”

Save text often and change the file format to a “.bat” file)

    Run (batch file batch.

  • I ran into this issue and switched to server.properties text file, then server-ip=localhost.
    worked
Never had problems connecting to someone else’s server.
